I recall reading a book about Marijuana, and it was stated that you would have to consume 7lbs of Marijuana to overdose. To read further into your question their was alcohol there, which could or could have not played a factor in the case or the joint that was passed around could of been laced with maybe PCP, or some other powerful drug. It really sounds to me that this joint was more than just Marijuana.

You're full of ****. You can't overdose on marijuana it's physically impossible--you would have to smoke around 40,000 times more than it would take to get you stoned and that's an actual statistic. But looking beyond that, you,re still bsing. Let's say it was an allergic reaction. If he was that allergic that he died instantaneously after taking a hit being in a room with marijuana would have given him severe allergic symptoms before he could even try the joint. Also, unlike what many people think the vast majority, probably close to all, marijuana is not laced. People who sell drugs do so to make money, not because they want to kill you, and adding other drugs to weed is an unnecessary expense. I'm also pretty sure i saw this exact story on an anti-marijuana website or something.

I have never heard of anyone overdosing on marijuana. The closest thing to a negative consequence that I've ever seen (in several years of being around smokers) would be one guy that fell asleep on the couch and another guy that decided to eat a lot. Marijuana does not have the same kind of side effects that actual manufactured drugs cause.

Never heard of anyone overdosing on weed. Weed by the way is considered a hallucinogenic. Did smoke a lot of it myself back in the day, was a connoisseur and knew what I was smoking. Stumbled on some stepped on weed a few times. Once found some that had been soaked in formaldehyde, some with pain pills crushed up and added to it and different sort of add ins but I would not smoked or buy any that was messed around with. I liked my weed ol'natural. But I guess if there were additives in it, then maybe this could happen. Just never really heard of it before.

That's not a reaction that you get from marijuana. Maybe if it was laced with something...but that's still highly unlikely. If this is a true story, the cousin must have had some kind of exacerbation of an underlying medical condition that just happened to coincide with the marijuana smoking.

You aren't going to get people to stay drug free by making up "horror" stories, that people can see through a mile away. The best way to prevent drug use is being honest about the effects of drugs.

I would say that you are a liar. Either you made this up or read this in one of those forwarded emails and are perpetuating a lie. No one overdoses on marijuana. Sometimes joints are laced with things like crack or angel dust but straight marijuana? Never. Even allergic reactions, with the exception of peanut butter allergies do not act that quickly. My advice to you is to get a job that occupies your overabundance of free time and stop the volunteer work for MADD.

I'm a paramedic and never had a case where someone overdosed on Marijuana. I bet it wasn't just weed he was smoking. Also despite the fact that your a liar. Mixing marijuana (a stimulant) with alcohol (a depressant) is really bad for your heart.

sounds untrue mproberly an allergic reaction. never heard of anyone dying from just smoking weed but it can trigger mental health problems. proberly best to steer clear

I dont think you can overdose on pot, he was most likely either was alergic too a property in pot, or else their may have been somthing else in the pot like angel dust, or somthing along those lines. hope that helps

First i'm sincerely sorry for your loss. That's the thing about smoking weed, especially if you don't know where it comes from. It could be laced with anything. I'm not a dr. or exper of any kind but it sounds like the week could have been laced with something else. True story dude, I have a friend who lost her little sister the same way, she was pressured by her friends to smoke and she did the next day she didn't wake up, apparantly the blunt was laced with "bad coke" and other shyt that killed her. Really sad.

Thats actually not overdosing. It is impossible to overdose on marijauna! I have heard cases like this to. Weed affects everyone differntly, even though most have the same results, the munchies, red eyes, ect. It still effects our brain differntly, and heart and many other things differntly, so it may cause some peoples body to go into shock, and then in turn have convulsions. Its just a risk of doing drugs! But I am sorry to hear about your cousin anyway

A friend of mine has a daughter who was so into smoking dope that she began to see John Lennon in their garage. It was really sad, she tried to hang herself, etc. She finally got straightened out and quit hanging with total losers. We really didn't think she was ever going to get straightened out.
