I would say yes but there may be police departments that don't require you to have a license. I would think long and hard because there are people out there with a lot more than a drivers license. Get your drivers license, make sure you complete high school. If you live in a larger city you need a bachelors degree to get an application. Smaller departments want the high school diploma plus one or more of the following, work experience, jailer, corrections, prior military, etc.

Well, you need to be able to drive to be a police officer... so I'm gonna say yes. And in California you also have to be a college grauate, and graduate of the police academy.

yep here in Holland you have to, they don't pay it this days anymore, so you have to do it first before you're going to police academy.

Why would you apply for a policeman with a drivers license? You can't just go purchase a cop for your own personal use.

You need to be dumb. They purposely reject applicants who are intelligent because they need morons who are easily brainwashed. However, you will need a driver's license. Another item which does not require common sense to obtain.
