Yes indeed.
Local cop shop open between 0900 & 1200 every other weekday. Shut weekends and if we call the police the call centre is in Milton Keynes. I live in Sandhurst, approximately 100 miles away!!
Successive governments have eroded the law enforcement agencies so they are little more than glorified nannies. The hardened criminal and those chosing that way of life are laughing all the way to early retirement on the costa del crime... |

yep and we have Thames valley HQ in our area (Abingdon).
all we see are those waste of skin CSO's who think they are police but actually cant do squat about nearly anything and by the time back up has arrived the perp has legged it.
the only police you do see round here are always stuffing their faces at thame services. |

We don't bother after 9pm, as the local police station is shut. It is always a big deal if we actually spot a policeman, and if you spot two police cars at the same time it's normally an event that reaches the local paper! |

We have a lot of pretend police officers..........Community Support Officers or summat. They have a lot of authority- if they see a kid drop a sweet wrapper on the pavement, for example.
