I would consider someone dieing approximately every 30 minutes because of it, very serious.

Yes, it is a serious problem; I believe State Governments should enforce and possibly strengthen the laws to ensure these drivers pay the FULL PRICE for their error in judgment.

It does no good for these drivers to blame others for their predicament.

Yes, drunk driving is a very serious problem. If you don't believe it ask someone that has lost a family member to a drunk driver.

Yes. I agree with Kenneth...there's pretty much no way that drunk driving is an acceptable behavior within society. Those who choose to put others at risk must lose their own rights to drive.

I have no problem with drink driving as long as the drive agrees to the death penalty if they kill or serious injury someone. They choose to drink, they have to take the responsibility.

Yes, ask the mother of a child that was killed by a drunk driver and she will tell you why.

Is this even a serious question? Have you ever been drunk? I hope so... if you cant walk right, and cant talk right, what makes you think you can drive a car right? A car is more than a mode of transportation, its a responsibility and can be easily be turned into a lethal weapon.

Drunk driving is the number one killer. If it wasn't for all the tax revenue on booze it would be Illegal like drugs are.

Of course, but most of what they do about it is just show.

Lowering the BAC from .10 to .08 is like lowering the speed limit from 50mph to 40 mph because some people are driving 100mph.

Rehabs and AA have lousy success rates, but it gives the politicians the appearance of being tough on crime, yet compassionate.

I've never had a DUI or alcohol-related auto accident and I no longer drink but I don't believe in crucifying a person who did.
