I would talk to a Police Officer in confidence about it. He could have made it all up just to retain your attention, but it could be true. It sounds as if you are worried about this, so talk to somebody

I'm with Nana64 on this one. If what you are saying is true then why are you asking what you should do. Maybe it is the truth and the guy is a relation, your husband or someone. In that case, you will know what you should do.

The people that say DONT report it are the type that want society to allow them their mistakes and to be able to get away with, literally, murder. If there is a shred of truth to your story, by all means, get your *** into a cop station NOW.

People who tend to talk a lot about crimes they "committed" are lying to you. If it were true, the people he was associated with would have taken him down on their own. They don't allow their people to talk.

In fact many who talk to their girlfriend/wife about violent crimes they say they commit do it to try and control that person with fear.

He just needed somebody to talk to, if he's telling you this it is probably because he needs some understanding of who he is rather than who he was.

I wouldn't even report a cop to police (even though i know they wouldn't do anything to one of their own), much less snitch on a person. Everybody has something in their past they aren't proud of. Of course i cannot tell you to talk and listen to him if you feel uncomfortable doing so, that's not fair to you...

So in other words definitely do not report him to cops, but i have no way of telling you what to actually do.

Did he serve his time for his roles in these crimes? Have you done a background check? If you only have suspicions as to murders, wouldn't you feel like a dolt if you accused someone without any evidence? The police would and would more than likely slap you on the wrist for making a false police report if there is no evidence to support your claims. Make sure you have all your ducks in a row before you accuse anyone of anything....and after reading your additional details, I really smell BS. No one who is a ******* hardened criminal who has gotten away with so many crimes is going to confide in any damn body because they come across as non-judgmental. People like this suspect everyone is a narc, even their mama.

Gees...well initially I thought yes, then I see he is old and thought no, and then when you mentioned murders...well, is anyone waiting for closure? Why was he even telling you this? Are you sure it's all true? If you are only suspicious of murders, then no. Punishment for robberies at this point in his life isn't going to protect society from him or teach him to change. As for the pedophilia, why didn't any of the victims report him? Bringing it up now after all these years might not be appreciated by the victims who may want it left behind them. However, if you think he still is doing anything, then I might answer differently.
