If this is your first offence, probably not. You will probably get probation unless you get a judge who wants to make an example of you.

worst case ull probably just have to do community service - best case ull just get off with a warning.

in any event I suggest u rat out ur friend cus it'll be exactly what they are going to do to you. and stop hanging around with them.

ur life will get a fair bit worse though if those pills were on u illegally...but still i doubt ur looking at jail time.

I really think you should bring up your friend so in the end you will not be screwed alone, and that it was all your friends idea. They might say you do drugs from the pills they found, and I am sure you are in enough trouble if you are going to court for it.

Offer to testify against your friend, and plead guilty. Do you have a lawyer? Get one. Probably suspended sentence and probation.

But that depends on what the pills were too, and how many. Either way, offer to flip on some random dealer and you should be fine.

Depends on the DA, if he's lenient your get probation with a chance to have the charge expunged from your records after a year.

Well i happen to be logging in from a half way house.. and the same thing happened to me a year ago. So i would say yes, your in quite a pickle, and facing definite time. So face what you did, and just admit your crime. Accept your responsibility and you might get some mercy.

a) have to do a very short jail stay
b) be assigned to some classes, or program,
c) be ordered to pay a fine with community service
d) not be charged
e) one of the above with it on your permanent record.

if it was only 300 bucks you shouldn't go to jail. It it was 1000 and over you would get a felony and be soending some time in jail.

Well, I'm not a lawyer nor do I have knowledge regarding this area. I'm not too sure what country you are from either so that make it more difficult, but i will try my best.

You said that you were in possession of items that were stolen, that is a no. Dont steal. For something like this I would assume that you will get a fine or community service. But you have also mentioned pills. I am unclear whether these are things like panadol or if they are illicit drugs. If they are drugs I think that you will get a large fine and/ or a prison sentence.

Remember on your day in court. Be polite, cooperate and be honest.

when i was a minor i owed the court 4 grand for stupid ****
and a cuple mnths ago i turned 18 and went to court n i was trynna do jail time... and they dropped my charges frm 4000 to 2000... in half...in i was on probation already...
so im pretty sure ur just guna get on probation and a fine.... dont worry 2 muuch about it anyway if its 300....its nothing... but the lose pills... if they were morphines e.pills or anythin like that u might get busted... but if u had a lot...

You probably won't go to jail. They may test the pills to find out if they are anything illegal. If they are illegal or for drug use purposes (as in you don't have a doctor to verify that they prescribed them for you) then you may have a court order for treatment. Otherwise you'll likely just get probation and go on your merry way. Although you need to ditch this "friend". They sound like they are more of a pain in the butt than they are worth.

Sence its less than 1000.00 you wont be spending more than 2 years.
