No. There is no reason to force someone to wait to defend themselves. People have DIED while waiting for the firearm that would have allowed them to protect themselves.
If your liberty has a 'waiting period', then you don't have liberty. |

No. No gun restrictions period! Not for hunting rifles, not for the latest, lethal military arms. Our right to bear arms was to protect us against the government. If the government can buy a tank, I can buy a tank (providing I could afford it of course). Second Amendment all the way baby! |

no why delay the process... I think a Pre screening process would be good though like a gun buying permit so to speak you could have a card that would mean you had been prescreened saying you was not a felon/ or other who is not allowed to own a guy |

It depends on where you live.
In Canada, you would be lucky to get a handgun after 3-4 weeks. You would have to join a gun club, and take course, get your Firearms Aquisition Certificate, and, and... It would be more like 3 or 4 months.
3-4 days is nothing! |
