You’re asking the wrong questions.
Most violent crimes and thefts’ are done in the suburbs by those that live there, and theirs much evidence to suggest, If not outright prove, that most violent crime and theft in urban areas (nationally, and I know in every urban area I've lived in) are actually committed by people who live outside the city, and come in to work or play. |

It does not make much of a difference between cold weather and hot weather in my opinion. In my city, the homeless have somewhere they can go for little to no rent. Actually, there are a lot of places. Alls they have to do is get a job to eat and I STILL see homeless people "homeless" They steal, lie, cheat etc. just because they do not feel like getting a job. But hey, like you said, jail is rent-free, you do not need to have a job, and you have it pretty easy. |

my teacher was telling me about this homeless person who purposly robbed a bank so he could get into jail.apparently after he held up the bank,he pretend to have a heartattack.and the cops of course arrested him.but hey! hey has a bed and food.he cant complain.
so yes,i think they do. |

Theres actually less crime in the winter and my mom (a social worker that worked with homeless) told me it doesnt change.
edit: among homeless i mean.
edit2: this is because they actually receive more donations during the winter because people feel guilty. |

Many homeless do such things even when it's warm. But good question, probably even more so in the winter when they're freezing. |

During the winter we'll often get flagged down by bums wanting to give themselves up on warrants, as they don't want to stay outside anymore.
Never had one do the same in the summer. |

At xmas the prisons,Fill with there festive occupants Yes some actually commit crime to have some were warm at this time of he year. what people don't see is that some people feel safer in side than on he streets. I have seen several inmates that cant Stand the society out side the walls, they have become dependant within the prison society.

Strange as it may seem not many homeless people actually commit crimes. There is more crime committed by people living in luxury homes and by politicians. |

yes i suppose that its a possibility, i remember a nurse that i trained with who became alcoholic and lived on the streets, on a very cold frosty night he got in a recycling bin to keep warm , in the morning this bin was put into the large dust card and he was so physically damaged, people are homeless for all sorts of reasons and if you were so very cold you may act out of character to commit a crime you would not have usually done |

Nope. Only those that are new to the "Homeless" situation might run the risk. Most homeless people aren't in their condition by choice but more by chance. Most are also good people they just have had a bad run of luck. But those that have been homeless for a while will not commit severe crimes because they would loose what little help that they recaive from charities. |
