Do you think that drugs like marijuana and crystal meth should be lumped together in the same category?

--Marijuana is a gateway drug which often leads to the consumption of stronger drugs. So it does in fact hurt people. In my book, dependency and addiction of a substance is pretty much the same thing.

--Tobacco causes a slight sensation of relaxation for smokers but it does not impair judgement. Alcohol, when consumed in high quantities, is in fact dangerous to the user and those he is around. So you get half a point on that one.

I think marijuana use should be legalized.

Meth has no legitimate medical use, is known to cause personality change and brain damage and is addictive. It is connected to erratic and even sometimes violent personality
changes.

I think meth needs to be treated as a forbidden drug and users treated like addicts.

And for Jesus S. above, many substances, including tobacco and alcohol are "mind altering." So your argument, paltry as it is is all wet. And for former Deputy Sheriff, let's make oxygen illegal so you can stop breathing it okay? That's about the level of argument you put forth on this topic....but what can I expect from a cop?

marajuana and meth are not even close to the same marajuana grows naturally where as meth is nothing but house hold chemicals that some loser figured out how to get high off them and alcohol is mind altering as well wanna clump that with them drugs and get it banned too

Lawyers should probably stick to lawyering, and not drug classification. Methamphetamine hydrochloride, sold under the trade name Desoxyn, has a legitimate medical use. And yes, it's the same thing (made commercially, and not in someone's bath tub). It was used during World War II by pilots, who needed to stay alert for very long periods of time. They weren't overdosing like meth users do today, of course.

They are lumped together, in a group called ILLEGAL. Also, both are harmful to the human body, both cost money better spent to support you and your family, and both help support some drug dealer that is too lazy to get a real job.

Never, Marijuana, have been proven scientificaly that, is was cancer safe for us. It may start some latent neurological, mental illness, but, it not cause it.

Crystal meth is one of the worth drug ever made, the addictive power of this substance, is unbelieveble, the short-long term sides effects are totally devastating.
I think pot is safe to smoke for some pathologic treatment, Glaucoma, Poly-arthritistm rhumatohid, i know it help too in some cases of anorexia to give hungry, but for all that ask MANY doctor's, because, i'm not.

I smoke pot, I think it's relatively safe FOR ME, but I would never take crystal, I think, like heroin, it's a drug made to destry peoples, controled, dependant...
