Manson was the head here. He was a charismatic young man that took these drugged out kids and had them committing crimes. Were it not for him, they would not have occurred. Well, at least that's how I've always understood it.

Charles Manson doesn't even think he's imprisoned wrongly! Luckily for him, the death penalty wasn't in place. However, with new evidence emerging, he might still be proven a murderer 'and' now get the death penalty.

Oh yes he did. He killed them just as surely as the women who held the knives did. You obviously haven't read much about the whole deal. He was there when they killed they couple the day before Sharon died. He told them to do it and they knew he would kill them if they didn't do what he told them to do.

These were girls still so young and immpressionable - he looked for those kind of girls , someone who "needed" a family and he lured them into his lifestyle. They were victims too.

Even if they tried to parole him, he would tell them he'd be a danger again. He's said that over and over. Would you want him loose on your family or is this just some dark gothic-like trend that young people are supporting Mason because it gets them attention?

Yes I think that he should have gone to prison but since he did not commit the murders he should have been out by now. Im sure that if released he would have a rather large following now because of his fame and could influence them, again inciting to kill. I dont know US law too well so I dont know if they can keep him for that reason
