or age limit! I mean if you wanna import something for personal use...you cant! You cant smoke anything you personally grow in garden!! Your watched on cctv all the time! Every transaction you make is monitored! You cant have a camp fire in woods, when going hiking! You cant take anything unless a GP tells you too! You run for a train at a tube station, you get shot! You cant ride round in your car at 3 in morning without being pulled over with police asking 'what you doing' even if not even breaking the law!! Anyone else agree? and if so, what you recon the best country to live in is...freedom wise!? i.e. the police etc are minding there own business catching criminals!
thanks!

it is a police state. it seriously pi$$es me off when your first few reply's say its ok. it isnt ok at all. our rights are gone. like you say. if you choose to drive around at 3am? who the **** are they to stop you?
ive just got back from a trip to vietnam , cambodia, india etc. the people there arent watched like we are. i noticed, no yellow lines , no speed cameras, no" we are watching you signs," people drove sensibly. no one was killed. no one was arrested. no one was loked at for driving with a phone or a sandwich. i even saw people stop their car to drop someone off without fear of persecution. we live in a police state now. its time to fight back. or in my case, just go to another country. im off to greece soon i hope. this country is finished in my opinion

Definitely. The Labour Government is becoming increasingly interfering in ordinary life. This has serious consequences because we are not allowed to make our own decisions and take responsibility for our own lives. A whole generation is being brought up in an infantile way to be dependant on the authority figures of the 'nanny state'.

Democracy is under threat. Surveillance means everyone is guilty until proven innocent: http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/mar/31/surveillance-transport-communication-box

The Establishment and their lackeys try to constrain the right of the BNP to speak out, even though they are a legal political party. I think that what is happening to the BNP today is likely to be the experience of other political parties and interest groups tomorrow, if they dare to speak out against the Islamization of Britain, to support our national interests as opposed to the EU or globalism, or campaign for the rights of the British workers.

unfortunately the answer is yes. The police are being used more frequently in political manoeuvres to try and silence the people from voicing their anger and outrage at the lack of true democratic equality.
A great documentary film shown on Channel 4 around 2 years ago is well worth watching even though it pokes fun at the whole subject. It is called Taking Liberties.

Sounds like the U.S.
I think that in this day in age almost everywhere is like this. Sad but true.

The key is responsible behaviour. Most people, unless they are engaged in employment, do not ride around in cars at 3AM - they have more sense and consideration. Night amplifies sound, and motor noises will awaken people, especially if you are like some of the prats we have around here, who drive at full throttle and screech around corners. The Police can nick these buggers five times over as far as I am concerned.

I cannot agree with smoking illegal substances either.

What concerns me is the interference with individual Rights, such as the Rights of a person who runs a pub to allow people to smoke tobacco on their premises. The right of people to decide what they eat. Whilst I agree personally with Jamie Oliver's school dinners, I disagree in principle that schoolchildren should be prevented from leaving school premises to buy a bag of chips.

Everything that is restrictive is being done on the cheap. Ban smoking in pubs, but don't ban smoking in toto, so smokers have to stand outside pubs and the Govt still gets its tax revenue from us who but tobacco products. Ban children from buying chips, but don't ban McDonbuggerKFC - if the kids eat junk off site it is not the fault of the Govt, of course.

Vote a different political party, thats what i dont understand in this country. People complain, yet only 60% of eligible voters turn up to vote.

Labour are ruining this country, left wingism is NOT the way forward for this country.

Anyways, as far as im concerned, this country does need rules but there are really far too many. And I feel for the police because all they are doing is there job, yet the get criticised for it. But what happened in Manchester last year with Rangers fans was totally dispicable, I mean i saw young boys and girls, and old men being smacked to the floor by 4 police officers for no reason. That just made me mad, and what happened to manchester police? NOTHING!

no it's just you lol , you must just be one of those people that attracts the law in whatever you do.

rabbits!
Well its better to have rules than no rules cuz the UK would be crazy wivout rules. And we do have freedom here unless obviously ur doing something against the law or suspicicious. England does have more freedom than someother countries
