The jail keeps records of visitors as legal documents, but it does not affect you unless they find out you did something illegal.... like try to slip the guy a nail file. :o)

Correctional facilities do keep records of visitors, but your records should not include any visits as incriminating information. Background checks, for example, will not list inmates who you've visited. |

There will be a record of your visit at that particular facility but it will not go onto your record. There is nothing wrong with visiting someone who is behind bars. |

I doubt they would put visitation for jail on your criminal record, however they may keep their own personal records of your visits. |

I'm going to assume that you mean criminal record. If you visit a jail to visit someone, it's not going to be on your record. The jail will have a record of you coming in at a specific time to visit a specific person, but that's it. |

Uh, no. Since only visiting is not a criminal act, I don't see how it would get on your record. |

Of course not. The jail will probably keep the record for the required period of time which may be a couple of years or more but it would not be your record. |
