Does anyone like the police?

Yes,I like the police.I appreciate and respect the fact that they are willing to go out there everyday and put their lives on the line just to make sure that everyone is safe.It takes a special person to be a police officer.You have to have patience,and good communication skills.

Now there are a few cops out there that are on the unprofessional side,but you still have to respect them.

In my experience most police are cowardly bullies. This is probably because too many cops today are a fat version of Barney Fife. Did you see the video last year of a fat, agressive, pathetic girly-man cop wrestling a nice, soft-spoken 14 year-old boy to the ground? Many cops, such as this guy, are reprehensible and don't deserve respect.

As I said, in my experience, way too many cops are cowardly bullies. Also, they're not very bright. I'd prefer to think they are there to "serve and protect" like in some Norman Rockwell painting, but as you can see from that stellar example of modern "law" enforcement, there's way too many idiots on the police force. Instead of "serve and protect" their motto is "harrass and intimidate".

I have seen other videos where the cop pointlessly uses the taser on some guy for an alleged, minor traffic violation, such as speeding, or for having a tail light out. The cop has a partner, and he feels the need to use a taser for that? What a cowardly wimp!

I have a dream about putting the brakes on unprovoked police brutality, and in my dream, these idiot cops are taken off street duty, and they have to tour the country talking to high school students about police brutality.

Then, at the end of each lecture, someone from the audience gets to taser the cowardly little bully cop. You gotta wonder if maybe the problem with the pointlessly aggressive, overly corpulent rent-a-cop is that he always wanted a night stick, but ended up with a tooth pick. But under his 50 pounds of excess blubber, that pathetic loser couldn't find a 3-DD battery flashlight.

Well police are people too ya know lol. I have a friend that's a cop and I personally wouldn't want his job for anything lol. Yes there are cops that I don't like for example:
1. Ones that abuse their authority.
2. "Dirty" cops
3. Ones that are condescending.
4. Ones that just sit there and don't take action when someone needs help.

I don't respect the ones that don't respect me.

I don't like the cops that like to push buttons and act like they're a king and you're a tiny peasant.

I don't like it when they already have the idea in their head that you're guilty.

Really, it depends on the cop.

Theyre not there to be liked but to protect serve and provide a full professional service to the public.

Their identities should be transparent to their public at all times.
Without our trust and respect police are a failure.
I do NOT any longer trust britains police.
I will NOT respect britains police.
Last weeks appalling scenes and the death of a totally innocent and sick man due to police brutality and which others stood watched and did nothing about was the final seal for me on that. They wont ever get assistance infomation respect or co operation from me until that suspended officer who assaulted Mr.Tomlinson is IN PRISON.
That MUST happen for justice to be done and to be seen to be done.

No. F&%K the police! They have harassed me from the time I was 12 years old. My friend shot a BB gun in my front yard and it killed a bird. I told him not to do it! But because I was there with him, I got complicity to animal cruelty and discharging a firearm in city limits. Mandatory probation. Then later on as a teen I tried to drop out of school because I was severely depressed at the time, so they threw me in jail, which when I got out, only caused me to break the law more.

I have had police frisk me down looking for weapons for absolutely no reason. I was outside of my house in my back yard and a cop came around saying I was late for school and searched me w/o any probable cause.

I have many more stories but to be quite frank, I HATE the police.

Yes, and I hope not to come across a corrupt officer in my lifetime, but overall yes. And you should too. If ever in your life someone you love is brutally attacked, murdered, raped, robbed or kidnapped, I bet you would be grateful there are organizations out there to help you and protect you and the ones you love!!!

Yes, I love them. They are doing their job. I hate when people say they don't like the police. The only reason they don't like the police is because they're involved in something illegal, or got caught already.

Yes, I'm very thankful to have the police; so yes I like the police. I don't see why anybody would have a true legitimate reason to hate the police. Unless any other "cop hater" wants to patrol Hunter's Point or Oakland at night.

Pretty much everybody who isn't overly concerned with breaking the law and getting away with it.
Or those who have had unfortunate run-ins with the less than quality officers.

It's the stupid/ignorant clowns who "hate them pigs" that are in the minority.
