yes i do, they are trying to say there is evidence in a car they acquired nearly 4 weeks after the disappearance & say they disposed of her
they have never been alone, have the world's media & police watching them every hour, it's ludricous
the 'police' have never been interested in doing anything & are now trying to get out of the fact they have no leads & are a poor excuse

I hate to jump to conclusions without knowing the ropes. But to be honest, it seems like it is a big conspiracy to frame them, involving not only the Portuguese police, but also their media. It seems like the decision of the McCanns to sue the paper have angered the Portuguese, plus the stigma of inefficiency of the police the whole case have cast on them.

I think its not as simple as that. But they have clearly messed up this investigation from the start. Witness statements were not collected promptly, the borders were'nt closed for a few hours, and they failed to find essential forensic evidence.

They have taken the brunt of world-wide criticism about how they've handled the case and lets not forget that holiday bookings are down by 40% in the local area ( my daughters friend is working at a club out there and has noticed a huge drop in tourism). They have to 'get' someone for this and the parents are the obvious targets as they are guilty of leaving them in the first place.

We'll just have to see just how the case pans out, they are only suspects at the moment - they have'nt actually been accused.

I think there is something in the fact that the police know the world is watching and viewing them as incompetent with every day that goes on, and they have nothing really to go on, so they are clutching at straws. I believe poor old robert murat being questioned was to placate the media, so you may be right.

Who cares? The child is dead. It's sad. As sad as the dozen other children who have gone missing in the UK since her disappearance but who have never been heard of on the TV or in the papers because they're not cute little girls. It's as sad as the children who are dying every single day because of our (i.e. the West's) stupidity and greed. Why all the hand-wringing about this one? Because it makes good copy for the newspapers.
And why assume the parents are innocent?

I'll tell you what I think: I think that they need to be questioned by the British Police, we are more clued up. The Portuguese police are clutching at straws now. If the Port Police were trying to frame the McCanns they would have charged them by now.

I can see no earthly reason why the Portuguese Police would try and frame them. We do not know the full facts as the Portuguese Police are bound by secrecy laws. I do think that the McCanns have something to hide, murder who knows?.

I think we are in danger of watering the whole thing down to nothing more than simple emotion and feelings ! A great way to be a sensible adult with rational and useful views.!! Do credit the Police with a little more intelligence than you have.

Not at all, this is just a story put out by the McCanns to try and put people off of suing them for the money they received in donations by conning the public for what it was to be used for.
