Does my parole officer have legal rights to go into my postal mailbox, that is shared with the person I live with, and take(steal) my outgoing, sealed mail?

Does my parole officer have legal rights to go into my postal mailbox, that is shared with the person I live with, and take(steal) my outgoing, sealed mail?

My PO came to the house when me and my roommate weren't here and stole my outgoing mail that I happened to be sending into a facility. Then, when I saw her, she LIED about how she knew I was still writing friends in the joint still(association). She still has not told me that she took my mail, and has not given it back to me yet! Doesn't she have to at least give me my mail back? Those are stamps I paid for and a greeting card I paid for as well. One letter also had two pictures of me in it. What legal rights do I have? Postal service is a federal deal, and I don't think even parole officers have rights to take mail from any mailbox...that's Fraud!
