Does the DMV(New York State) know you got a ticket before you are found guilty?

Does the Dmv find out as soon as the ticket is issued or do they find out after the court proceedings are over?

After. There has to be a conviction before it is a notifiable infraction.

The Dept of Motor Vehicles is notified that you have a ticket as soon as your court case is over. They are informed that you paid or haven't paid and your license needs to be suspended or not.
