Domestic violence advice?

Mandy - I have answered questions before from you about your abusive partner and being someone who works with victims of this form of family abuse I am beginning to lose patience in being kind hearted.

You know the options its him or your kids as far as the authorities are concerned, if you won't make the decision they will make it for you as their primary concern is for your children's and your welfare, but you are an adult and if you choose to stay in an abusive relationship then that is your choice. But no one will tolerate you allowing your children to suffer the abuse with you!

You must be able to see your children are at risk and I'm sure you will have heard the term MARAC mentioned in relation to your situation.

Wake up and smell the coffee Mandy...you know he won't change, but you can and need to! Do you want your children to grow up resenting your decisions made now?

Mandy...read the last line the decisions YOU make now. Only you know how you want all this to end. Social Services can't tell you to make a choice but they can certainly respond to the ones you make. I am pleased to see that you would put your kids first. Blow him out love...you deserve better than a bully and so do your kids

Why are you with someone who puts you and your child at risk?
You should have left him before it even got to this. I feel sorry for the child.

Mandy allot of people men and women find themselves in this situation. Means of survival and . It's hard to say what they'll decide, it's according to just how violent it was and if the children were ever put in harms way. Your husband 'will' have to attend anger management if he wants to be around the kids again and you need help, even if you may think you don't. These are difficult things for emotions and mentall to recover from. Seek help and try working with the social sevice for a positive outcome

If you and your husband live together, your children can be taken from you until you can prove that you can provide a safe living environment. That would include making your husband move out. He can also be charged with domestic abuse and jailed. He will have to complete anger management and other courses before being allowed to see his children for even brief amounts of time.

Christ...Well, Social services are involved now....so the best thing to do is be honest and straight about your feelings. that bullying idiot shouldn't be allowed anywhere near your children, and your first priority is to ensure their safety. i hope it all works out for you mate, good luck.

Do whatever you have to do to get those children away from him. You need to be strong and get away too. They will be in more than on an "at risk list" if you don't take the steps to get away from this man.

The police/social services have zero tolerance of domestic abuse so they will be on your side. Take yourself and your children away from that man. Abuse like that only ever escalates so dont put yourself at any more risk! If you feel threatened or at risk from this man, dial 999/911.

Your children will not have to live with your husband because he is violent. This has obviously had an effect on your children. Your social worker can speak to you and your children together to discuss the best options for you all. If you haven't done so already, get yourself and your children away from him asap. Everyone is on your side, and will do their best to protect you all from him. Phone the social services, domestic violence helpline, even get yourself to police or local council offices. They can all help you to get immediate temporary accomodation while helping you all to sort it out.
