I'll pray and ask the ppl at our church to pray. There are rules most places about demonstrations etc. I used to be very against those type rules bec of freedom of speach but since our tiny town has ben hit repeatedly by a couple of groups from other places who probably really believe God sent them here but are yelling hate not preaching Jesus I have begun to understand a little bit.

Ok, here's my answer. Abortion should never be forced on anyone, nor should thier rights to want an abortion be taken away. I am against abortion to a point. Now if that person is just using it as a type of birth control, then no, they shouldnt get an abortion. But, if it is a life or death situation; like maybe it is in her tube, then yes, that is necesary because if she does not abort the baby then it will kill her. If she got raped, or molested and is young, then yes, I can see her getting an abortion.But, like I said. abortion should not be used as a birth control method. I wish you and your friends luck, just don't go out bombing the clinics, thats killing as well.

No one is going to go to jail for trying to stop abortion, but you're going to use that excuse in an attempt to attract sympathy. I give you credit for standing up for what you believe in, but that's not the issue. Obviously, someone was doing something wrong. Maybe, public assembly without a permit, obstruction, or impeding vehicular/pedestrian traffic, disorderly conduct, failure to disperse. Sometimes to beat the law, you have to obey the law. Next time do it within the law, and you'll be able to get your message out to a lot more people.

what if the girl was raped.. and she cant have a kid because of school and all that ****. should she have to go thgough the hell of pregnacy just because some *** wipe raped her? no... in thoes cases it is ok...

if people are just to lazy to use a condom.. then it is a different story.

Still, it is extremely unlikely that your friend will go to jail for action at a peaceful protest. If he does, let me know the details and I will help with the appeal or try to find a lawyer that can help him.

Well as a girl in some ways i agree wit abortion becuz if da mom is aborting at the age of 15 14 12 13 ect in her teens then that mom is not gonna kno how to take care of that baby n they are gonna have another generation of the same thing babies havin babies! n especially if they are involved in drugs so i say that they should abort because we really dont need that but in other ways i think they dont becuz they are humans to n its sad n some teenage moms bring out their children n their kids dont remak the mistake the parent did! so its reallt a 50/50 situation but i dont think u r friend should of gotten arrested he has a right to speak his mind!

I want to make a distinction here. First let me say that I am against abortion. I am against abortion. The decision and the act, not necessarily the person. Even if I disagree with the person who has abortions as a form of birth control (that's unbelievably wrong) I do not want to get in the face of girls and women who are going through that traumatic experience. I particularly would not want anyone yelling at them slurs or telling them that they will "burn in hell." That is out of line. If you want to protest the clinic, fine. Protest it but don't frighten, abuse, or attack anyone who is going in or out. Especially do not bomb, kill, or harm anyone in or connected to the clinic. Bombing an abortion clinic is also unbelievably wrong.

I wasn't there when your friend was there. If all he was doing was holding a picket sign and passing out leaflets and doing so because they have a permit to protest then I hope he gets off and nothing happens to him. If he was doing any of the things that I have previously mentioned then my sympathy for his plight drops quickly. My attitude towards him then ranges from: "he gets off but he learns a lesson about the way he does the protests" to "maybe a little jail time would do him good."

That said, I wish your protests good fortune if they are truly protesting abortion and not scaring already scared people.

I don't agree with abortion unless a women is raped then it wasn't her choice or fault that should be the only exception in my book

I believe her First Amendment rights were violated--freedom of speech.

For the record abortion is not okay in cases of rape--it's not the child's fault.
