Good family friend who basically has his cell phone attatched to his ear hasn't answered since 9 hours ago. We keep trying to reach him and he won't asnwer. He's very depressed is on drugs and is one of those people that can just commit suicide like that. We are all very worried and have called him about 200 times. We can't call the police because he most likely has drugs lying around the house and we don't wan thim to lose his license and get arrested for something like that just in case he IS OKAY. If we go to his house what do we do if he doesn't even answer? I mean it's late at night what is there to do? We've called the phone service to see if they turned off his phone due to him not paying, but they're not allowed to give us that info. WHAT DO WE DO WE DONT KNOW IF HE IS ALIVE OR DEAD?!?!?!?
We know something is wrong because he ALWAYS calls back within 20 minutes. He's a doctor so he always does and has to for his patients. I just can't imagine him not answering for some reason... We've left messages telling him that if he doesnt call back we're calling 911 he just won't answer and we dont know if he's okay. PLEASE HELP SOMEHOW IDK WHAT TO DO
HE DOESNT HAVE ANY FAMILY AND WE ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT ACTUALLY CARE IF HE IS ALIVE OR DEAD.

It's just that we don't know if it's something silly like him forgetting to turn on his phone.

Contact the local police station, explain the situation, they will attend to it as a person at risk. This does sound serious so I wouldn't muck around. |

OK, you don't want to call the police. You don't want to go to his house. You say you want legal advise. Do I take it that you want to know if you will be held accountable for NOT HELPING HIM if he is found dead? That is the only thing I come away with after reading everything you have written. i think you should call the police and see if they can see what's up. he may get in trouble if he has something illegal laying around but it's better than him being dead right? call the cops. |

If you do care about him then the drugs are the least of your worries. Call the police and have them do a welfare check on him and even offer to meet at the house.

Ok, this makes no sense...you are worried about him being dead...but you are worried about him getting busted for drugs more? From what you said seems like that is the case. Just think what if he is in there dying ans the fact that you did not call 911 in time means that you could have saved him but you chose not to because you did not want him to get busted. well with friends like you who needs enemies.
