Employers:Would you Hire someone with a Bench-Warrant on his Record?

its for a friend of mine and am trying to help him out:
The bench Warrant is in California and hes in NY trying to find a Job

No I wouldn't because I'm in California ,don't have much use for guy in New York with a bench warrant

all kidding aside I would it would depend on the type of job. I've hired probably 100 people over the years for construction. construction job it want matters to much I need you as long as the project is going to last usually short term .if it is a long term job where I'm going to put in an effort of training and making a permanent position for you no go back to California get it straightened out and come back

If you are talking about an outstanding warrant, then I would not want to be in the position of harboring a fugitive or employing someone who would run and hide rather than deal with problems. If it is an old warrant that was resolved, then maybe.

It would depend on what the warrant was for?

I know some video stores that do this if you forget to return a rental. That reason is totally BS.

There's no real corporation who would hire this guy when there are tons of a people who don't have warrants.
