FINES!!!!HELP!! PERSONAL EXPERIENCE?!?

I have recently moved to Tennessee from Ohio because I had lost my job and wanted to move closer to family, as well, with hopes for more employment opportunities. I know that it was a big mistake on my part, but I was unable to pay the payment for my fines, and I failed to let any one know. I just got a job here in tennessee and i found out that a bench warrant was issued for my arrest last week for failure to pay on my fines. The issue at hand is that I have bought a car and need to put it in my name but of course I also have to change my license to the state of Tennessee too. I heard that if you do this and you have a warrant issued in another state they will arrest you. Is this the case with a bench warrant or are all warrants the same. I feel like I am definitely stuck between a rock and a hard spot now for sure, because without a car I will be unable to get to work, and without a job I will be unable to pay my fines off. What should I do? If I call them tomorrow what should I say or tell them? What are the different possibilities of the outcome of the situation when I call or go to the Dept of Motor Vehicles? Please help. any and all advice is needed and will be much appreciated right now. I have never been in Jail and I don't want to go!

Has anyone been in a situation similar to this?

honestly you should face this sooner the better and if you don't they will think you are running..however you should have notified them before you left state and let them know that your fine payment would be late but the past is the past and now we are in the present and like i said its better to call them sooner the better I would even call the dept. of motor vehicles before going down there and see what they say also call ohio about your fines and ask them for a extention until you get your first check and tell them your trying to do the right thing and tell them you will give them your address your phone number, email address, employer address and phone number and let them know your not trying to run away from your resposiblities and you needed to get a job to pay your fines and let them know you were unable to find work where you were at.
and explain that you don't want to go to jail.
TRUTH is always the right thing never forget that
Good Luck
