often you will be able to talk to a DA before going to court and they might offer to let you plead guilty to lesser charge or non moving violation.

and they always have a one in a million chance that your case will get dismissed but don't count on it.

since it's your second offense you will not lose your license. that usually only happens to ppl that have like 5 tickets or too many points in short amount of time.

even if your are found guilty you can arrange a payment plan or do community service or in some states go to traffic school.

it's worth your time and effort to avoid getting a moving violation cuz it could cause your insurance rates to increase.

try not to worry, they will have a ton of people that have done much worse and stupid things than you.

be sure to turn off your cell in the courtroom, judges freak out about that.

Like 80 in a 65 is better? Only way to fight it is with a lawyer.

The judge will not take away your license. The DMV will asend you a notification of revocation if your record rised to that point.

go to court. you are almost guaranteed to get a lesser fine and no points. just showing up.

tell the judge you are guilty... were having a bad morning and regret speeding. you dont think you were going 80, but will plead guilty. be quiet, respectful, dont argue at all, and say your honor a lot. dont cry either.

if judge asks your driving record, just say "Clean your honor" without hesitation. sound confident when you say it.

he can request that you take a driving course. you did not kill anybody. and have to pay the fine. plus court cost. and your lawyer. my advice would be to pay the ticket. and hopefully you learn your lesson.

In some states extreme excess over the speed limit can lead to your arrest. In Ohio 26 and over is considered a misdemeanor of the fourth degree maximum potential penalty is up to $250.00 and 30 days in jail or a combination of both. Also if you have 2 prior convictions of a moving violation within a year. In a court appearance in Cleveland, Ohio court costs start at $120.00 and maximum potential penalty for speed under above listed 26 M.P.H. is $150.00. However fines are usually lower, court costs stay the same. You may get a plea bargain and you may be able to make a motion for indengency(Not able to afford it with proof of income) court costs can be suspended by the judge. You can always make a motion for community service with proof that you are indegent.

Going to court and fighting the ticket you can. Hahaha you are a good driver? I don't think so if you are going that thoses speed. You made a mistake, if you are ever late to a class don't speed stay no more than 10 miles, you should be fine but they still can give you a ticket for speed still, its the law. I learn that the hard way too. And no, the judge will not take your lic away from you.

Even if the limit was 65, you were still speeding weren't you? Tailgating is stupid and dangerous, and I hate tailgaters more than I do speeders.
You also have a history of speeding, so, good luck if you decide to fight it, but if you don't learn to drive you are going to die early whether you manage to beat it in court or not.

You cannot claim to have a clean record, just because it is off your insurance. It is on your driving record for at least 5 years.

I'm not sure you have a case... I mean if you were speeding you were speeding. If there weren't any speed limit signs that's one thing, but the judge will likely not have pity on you otherwise.

There is no point in fighting something you are guilty of. You need to instead ask for driving school and a payment plan.

And, they will find you guilty. Remorse does not negate guilt.

Don't ever fight the ticket in court. Just because you are sorry now, you were still speeding and still guility. Go to traffic school to keep it off your record.
