Fines for first degree misdimeanor in ohio?

got caught stealing 2 quarts of motor oil. got a letter from the court and im going there next week. will i go to jail? does dressing up nicely in court influence the judges opinion? how much should i expect to pay?

I doubt you're going to jail. That is if it's your first offense. You'll pay a fine and be put on probation. It's always a good idea to dress up. You want to put yourself in the best light possible. If you show up looking grungy, the judge will take it as an insult to his/her court.
