I'm meeting w/ my prob officer friday for the 1st time for shoplifting.
Are they going to drug test me ?
Does nicotine show up?

They probably will test you. It doesn't matter if nicotine shows up. Nicotine is allowed. |

They may, then again they may not. It really depends on your probation officer and what kind of day he is having. It may but you shouldn't worry about nicotine (from cigarettes) unless you have been smoking pot. If you have been smoking pot then you may have a problem. Smoking cigarettes is not that big of a deal to them as smoking pot is. |

they might, because you are on probation they can if they want. nicotine wont show up in a drug test but since you are underage you could get into trouble for possessing tobacco products. |

Nicotine doesn't show up and your P.O. can't do anything about it if he doesn't find cigaretts on you or didn't see you smoking. If it's Pot, it's in your system for a while. like 30 days.
Your crime was shop lifting, if it didn't have anything to do with drugs then he won't test you UNLESS the judge said to test you. Read your probation papers and see what they say. If it says nothing about testing and says nothing about paying for the testing then no, they won't test you. That's here in California, not sure about where you live. But if you aren't paying for it, they aren't testing for it.... |
