Going to take corrections officer exam in Texas. What should I expect? Any tips? Attire?

Are you interviewed the same day? What should I wear? Just looking for honest advice. I have no law enforcement or corrections experience. How can I convince them that I am qualified?

You will not be interviewed until the test results are back.
You should wear conservative clothing that is comfortable, as the test could take a while.
There are study guides available online an in bookstores. I doubt any of the questions will be repeated, but there will be general test taking tips, and taking the practice tests will help you mentally prepare.
If you do an internet search of "corrections officer study guide" or "corrections officer exam", you should find several books, or check your local library. |
