Although I can't name any off the top of my head I can tell you that yes, there have been female serial killers. |
|

I actually wondered that myself. There have always been male killers, but I don't think I've heard of a woman killer. I'm sure there has been a couple female killers, but it's mostly a male thing. Actually....now that I think about it, I've heard of a woman who killed her husband with an ax and left him in a car. This happened in my sub-division. Scary. |

Yes there are many
and most of them kill male acquaintances for money, they're cheating on them and like men if they feel their ego is being crushed down .
Most women rather poison there victim rather than use a shot gun and some choose to pay someone to do the job for them
reasoning why Aileen is famous for actually using a handgun.
Guess what! there are even kid serial killers like Robert Thompson and Jon Venables. |
|

koyotee
 |
Yep. Our victims are equal opportunity. |
|

Sooty
 |
Yes, I am sure there are but they may not be so notorious because they know how to keep a low profile. Most probably like most women, they know when enough is enough and call it quits without being caught. |
|

Aeroshift
|
Yes, actually. I've read in an article that a captured (by police) woman serial killer said that she killed "so women serial killers can be taken more seriously." |

Yes, they are just not as common as male serial killers.
Most female serial killers are known as black widow's like the deadly spider - pretty to look at but oh so deadly. |

If you only knew
|
Aileen 'Lee' Carol Wuornos
Born: February 29, 1956 as Aileen Carol Pittman
Birthplace: Rochester, Michigan, USA
Died: October 9, 2002 - execution by lethal injection
Aileen admitted to killing seven men, including a missionary. She was only convicted of killing six men because the missionary's body was never found.
