I've tried looking this up but i can't find the answer to my question. Where exactly are SVU cases held? In like just a really big police building? or is it a special building? I've watched Law & Order SVU but I dont know what kind of places those cases are held at.

When they said the people and events in the show were purely fictional, I didn't know they meant the actual place for the case being solved, too. lol I feel kind of retarded now.
