Hi how long do speeding convictions stay on your liecence for is it four years or five years?

In Wisconsin points last for 12 months and the citation stays for 5 years.

they are on there for three and you can have them removed after four years this is in the UK

I got 3 points years ago and at the time they used to stay on for 3 years but then they changed it to 5 years so I had to wait for them to be removed.

I changed my address and therefore my driving licence in 2004 and when I did so, I sent my old licence off about 4 months before the points were due to come off and it came back clean. Result!

I would check the DVLA website for more accurate information or give them a call.

Tell us what state you're in, it does very from one state to the next.
In Colorado the state keeps them on for 4 years.
BUT when you go to court the D.A. can give you a deal that gets it off in one year.
It's called a deferred sentence.
If you don't get a ticket in a year the courts drop the ticket & it no longer shows up of your record. The D.A. can also have you do other things when you get the deferred sentence. It's all up to what the D.A. wants to give you.
Or you can take a chance with a judge.

Depend on the state, I believe it's 4 in NY.
BUT...

if you take a defensive drivers course you can get the points taken right off. Thats what I did and it lowered my insurance.

Not knowing where you live, it would be impossible to give you the correct information, but I'm sure you're in the ballpark. Call one of the local traffic courts, I'm sure they will give you the information. Just for your information, your driving history never goes away. Most courts use a guideline for proceedings, such as 4-5 years, but in a serious situation, your entire record can be brought up as evidence.
