How Do You Think Marijuana Effects The Police?

Ok, I'm writing a presentation on Marijuana for my Criminal Justice course in college. Im having difficulty trying to find these effects. But I believe that this could be used for "own opinion". Im confused and uncertain if this is a good topic to be presenting. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for marijuana its awesome..but for it effecting the police...IM LOST!

Well...as by what I ment when i said "im all for it" was basically meaning about medical marijuana, my state was the 13th to say YES to it, but that still dont mean nothing. Yes, i smoke marijuana, but we all have different reason's as to why we do. But never the less, I feel it should just become legal for anything.

It effects the police because they are forced to spend a lot of time and effort (money) to arrest and, bring to trial people who have broken the laws against using marijuana. As long as marijuana is illegal in the U.S. the police will be on the front line in this losing fight against drugs of any kind that are illegal. Police officers in both the U.S. and, Mexico die everyday because of this. Citizens of both countries die everyday because of this. Because your all for it and, it's awesome other people are being killed. You might give that a little thought. Or, not.

ok so anything less then 20 grams of weed is nothing big just a slap on the wrist, ok so cops will go out to finsh there sheet an get paid, plus i know of plenty of cops that say if you rat for my i will make this disappear an thats wrong but they get paid more for a bigger bust or if the tip of dea on a raid an if they get someone with over 20 grams of weed its a felony so they get paid more see its all about money to the piggy's

Well, consider there are 5 major groups who profit from hemp prohibition. Politicians, Jailers or the prison industrial complex, organized crime, corporate America who cuts down trees and digs up oil to pollute our planet and one other group, police who get billions sent by way of federal funds to bust all low level marijuana users..

I guess it would depend on how much they smoke.....one doobie might be enough

I think busting people for marijuana is the highlight of their days. Then they go smoke it in an alley or sell it to their sick mommas. lol....
