How Long for a Speeding Fine to Come through the Post?

I might not have been speeding.
BUT if i did get caught on camera, how long before they send the notice/fine in the post?
Do they send it straight away, or keep you wondering for weeks!!
The suspense ....It's killing me :-(((

They have to serve you with a NIP (notice of intended prosecution) within 14 days of the offence, however all they have to do is prove they posted it. So if it's lost in the post or not delivered for any reason then it's classed as served.
They do usually appear quite quick though. Don't forget you have the right to view any evidence they have this includes any images that were taken at the time. |

It's usually on the doormat within a few days. Longer than two weeks and I reckon you're in the clear. Fingers crossed for you! |

it can take anywere up to 14 days i had one sent through a week after i got flashed

You DON'T have to pay speeding fines. A speeding ticket is only an ALLEGATION that you were speeding. By paying the fine, you accept their allegation (offer) and consequently, lose points.
The speed camera system is not only flawed, but unjust and DOES NOT have any positive effect on road safety. In fact, statistics provide a good argument that speed cameras actually INCREASE accidents.

Over 95% of road accidents occur either at intersections, or from people falling asleep at the wheel, NOT from speeding. The problem is driving unsafely for the conditions, not driving too fast. Speed cameras know nothing about this.
It is not difficult to have a speeding allegation quashed, save your hard earned money and keep your points. There is a "three step process" which will legally keep these "revenue raisers" at bay.
