It means he'll get over a year in prison. It sounds bad to me.

Are you serious? ALL felonies are bad. By very definition, a Felony is a serious crime.

Each state and country classifies crimes differently. In my state, a D felony carries up to six years in prison for each offense. He may not consider it all that bad, but most people will go through their entire life without ever being convicted of ANY felony. His comment demonstrates that he sees nothing wrong with being haunted by felony convictions for the rest of his life, as long as he doesn't spend too much time in prison. That is the kind of person that does life on the installment plan.

All felonies are pretty bad. But a D felony carries the least penalty of them all. Class A is the worst.

All felonies are BAD... My boyfriend got in trouble for Malicious Destruction of Property many years ago in his twenties and he CAN NOT get a good job anywhere even after many many years and he is an educated man
