As soon as you give them a name ie 'chav' they have an identity and therefore feel proud and chavtastic about it and become a united force. I say take away their name and they will become no-more! (well at least I'd like to think it was that simple!)

People are so ignorant to think hoodies are the cause of crime and anti-social behaviour, why not ban tracksuit bottoms, baseball caps and football shirts while we're at it?

Hoodies are just a symbol !! as were Parkas . Denim Jackets . mohicans etc etc etc .

The problem is that as with all generations past present and future they are disaffected with society .. Most of them will mature into normal members of society and join the main stream.

In fact they will probaly in years to come will asking " HOW DO WE BAN ????"

i agree with amshaegarUK its the chavs we need to get rid ov. i mean i have a hood on my jacket which i put up when raining does that tie me with "the hoodies"? erm NOPE it doesn't.

First- you're talking about an item of clothing right? I wear them- and like them- warm and comfortable.
Here is an EASY solution to the dilemma- any and all clothing associated with behavior issues should be marketed directly to the elderly population as well- then when 80 year old men and women are wearing the same clothes as the behaviorally challenged it will stop being so cool!! I can almost guarantee this will work!!!!!!!!!!!

It depends whether you mean all hoodies or just chav hoodies. Not all young people who wear hoodies are bad. I say build a massive council estate in the middle of nowhere, build a huge, impenetrable wall around it and put them all there. Or on an island. Or a distant planet. Any option suits me.
