What makes you think that they're always cars?. |

right by the rear view mirror they have the dash camera right there you can tell. |

It can be hard. Check the back windshield at the bottom for lights, on the inside. In the back there is also usually a large antenna in the center of the trunk.
In the front, the grill will have lights in it, along with lights at the bottom of the windshield, also inside.
Even then, it can be hard to tell. |

When the lights come on as they stop you. |

Obey the laws so you won't get a ticket. |

If you obey the traffic laws, you don't need to worry about getting a ticket. |

Its the car with the cop sitting in it. |

The one that always gives it away is.....the "X" in the middle of the license plate. |

BOB
|
The car itself is usually a good tip off.
The antennas
The hubcaps
The EXTREMELY DARK tint.
The spotlight
The license plate
A radar detector will sometimes give you an advanced warning but if it isn't soon enough.... well either way you know it is a cop.
The lights on the front dash (really hard to see)
The smell of donuts in the air.
The best tip is next time you are pulled over be VERY observant and get familiar with the cars in your area. |

Look for the Dunkin Donut bags and coffee cups.....
Drive with a few illegal aliens in the back and they'll NEVER pull you over. |

Usually they're Crown Vics, Imapalas, or Chargers. Almost all undercovers have the spot light on the driver side A-pillar. Some (very few undercovers actually) will have an antenna farm on the trunk and roof |

In Florida, they use cars that have been confiscated during drug trafficking and such. There is no way to identify them until the blue lights go on. Then they are easy to spot.
That is why the are called "undercover". |

They are real easy to spot in my area, they all have spotlights mounted on the side of the driver's side window, and they are most Ford LTD Crown Vics., or Chevy Impalas in white color. |

none of your business ~ lol
Don't break the law and you won't have to worry about it, will you?
Plus, unmarked vehicles vary from dept to dept so it would be impossible to tell. I know some of the secrets from back home but I'm not telling :) |

If they are simply unmarked police cars they usually have the same "state" plates that the regular police cars have. In Pennsylvania they are blue with white lettering and in WV they are green with white lettering. They usually say state or state vehicle on it. Just because a vehicle has one of these plates does not mean that it is a police officer, all the state vehicles have them. |

LOL, they are usually driven by unmarked Policemen. Thats the reason they are unmarked, so they can catch you.The best thing to do is either drive the speed limit or become a policeman. |

some times the antennas give it away |

Just speed up and pass it very quickly. I'm sure if it's an unmarked policeman you'll know soon enough. |

I watch for 2 little things - one is exceptionally plain hubcaps (weird, but true - they usually are plain, solid chrome circles) and the other is the spotlight located on the driver's side just outside the driver's window. |

I don't think you can, sorry |

Matters what town and state.. By me.. all of them are still fords and normal white or dark blue. The back two windows are tinted dark. they look just like a cop car. and sometimes the cop is still in uniform lol

Unmarked cars are usually detective cars, they are usually white fords. the liscense plates have an E at the beginning, this represents a government owned vehicle, that is the best way you can spot them. |
