If a dog kills someone they don't bother to charge the dog, they just kill it. Same with a bear. They can't really defend themselves in court and have no money to pay for a lawyer. |

Because as far as they know it they are either getting food, or they are intimidated by us and will attack us. Its mainly their instinct that does that. like our instinct is to run away when we are scared. Also they kill to get rid of any competition for food, a mate. so we can't really say that it is fair that they get convicted for MURDER. |

Dogs that kill usually have been abused or have had traumatic experiences. Dogs don't just kill for no reason. Plus, they have different memory than us, so they wouldn't know what they were being punished for. |

Because animals act out of instinct or training, you could charge the person that trained the animal to kill.

Well you know unfortunately how humans are...we eat animals so if an animal gets killed well then we might as well ALL get charged/arrested then. The only winners that stand will probably be vegetarians =/ Very interesting question, I like how you think already and I respect what you were asking...I've asked people that before too. Humans are funny creatures and hypocrites =S |

Animals kill for completely different reasons than humans.
Animals kill for food, to survive.
They don't kill with malicious intent, as in committing violent crimes. |
