Chances are the pizza kid is right down the road or in the area from you, but the police could be out with another call or coming back from something far away. its called downing manpower but increasing problems! same as firefighters and EMS |

Depends on where you live.
My city, Midland Michigan, has a ton of police... when you call, they are usually there in less than 3 minutes if it is an emergency, or 15 minutes if it's not an emergency.
I suppose in bigger cities, distance and number of cops on patroll and the amount of crime would make a big difference... |

Not where I live. The pizza guy takes anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half. The police respond within 20min. And ambulances just take forever and ever and ever... or so it seems when a loved one is suffering.. |

You should order coffee and doughnuts instead!
Plus, you don't have to tip them! |

the police don't have competition. i don't think it would work to tell them that u will call the fire dept next time if they aren't faster. |
