How do I file a complaint against a police officer?

Call the internal affairs division of the police department that the officer works for. Explain your situation to them and let them know that you do not want him calling anymore.

That's not much information.
Why is he calling? What is he saying? How often is he calling?

What was the argument about, and why were the police involved? Was there violence? If it was serious enough, they're probably concerned, so that's why they're calling.

It depends on why the police officer is calling your home and what happens when he does call. Without that information any answer you receive here will be worthless, and if (in my opinion most likely) the officer is calling regarding an open pending case you filing a complaint against him isn't very smart.

Assuming the above is not true, and the officer is legitimately harassing you and/or your family. Go to the PD during regular office hours, as to speak to someone in IA or Professional Standards.

What exactly is the problem? Is the cop harassing you or does it just annoy you that there's a cop checking up on things?

Contact the police department and ask why they have someone calling you. They will be able to tell you why. If the officer is harassing you, contact internal affairs and make a complaint to them. Make sure the officer doesn't have a legitimate reason to call you before you make your complaint or you'll just look like an idiot.

Were you issued a ticket, are you in a small town where the officers aren't always running from one call to the next?
Possible chances are he didn't write you the ticket because there is a serious stigma attached to having a domestic abuse charge on your record, it keeps you from ever getting buying a handgun, or get a concealed carry permit for the REST OF YOUR LIFE.
this officer can write you the ticket for domestic abuse MONTHS after the actual crime was committed, he may be trying to do you a favor by not writing it and monitoring the situation to make sure it was a one time mistake. this guy may be trying to do you a HUGE favor and your probably treating him like ***.

i tried to help someone like this once, that person's mother ended up FORCING me to write the ticket by yelling at me over the phone about police harassment and not handing the phone over to that person.

unless he's calling you more than once or twice a day he's probbably trying to help you or your girlfriend, now i'm not saying this would be true in your case but he may also be trying to help your Girl out of a Toxic relationship with you, if this is the case, you've got to let her go and find some help for yourself, people are often trapped into doing things and being people they don't want to be by their own psycology, there is help avalable.

Since this is harassment I would contact his supervisor or the Chief of police. They may not have your back on this without actual proof...Do you have caller id ? Get your phone records as well. Good luck.

i would just whoop his ***...lol no, call the police cheif and tell him, you want to file a complaint on the guy fill it out, turn it in and if it happens again, file another one and the pig should lose his job.
