How do I find out when and what someone was in prison for?

My daughters dad and I have recently split due to his flirting with a young (*underage*) girl, he told me has been in prison before, but says it was for assault, how can I check this out to make sure he hasnt done the same to girls before now? The police won't tell me anything and my worry is that my little girl sees him and if hes offended like this before i need to know so i can protect her..

if its public records you can go to the court house i believe and request the information.

Don't think you can find out..you can file in family court that you have safety concerns about your daughter's father..and ask the courts to help you in this matter.

I don't think there is any way you can find out at all.
If the police wont tell you then there's no other way to find out.

Hire a private detective. They should be able to get the information you want
