How do I find where someone lives? HELP! URGENT!?

I need to find out where this guy lives so I can serve him some papers. What is the best way to go about this? I'm sure I know what apartment he lives in, but I don't know the apartment number. I can hire a PI, but that costs about $100. Is there a cheaper way to do this? Or a way I can do it myself (although I don't know how)
We do both go to the same college together, but it's pretty large and I won't just run into him. I need to do this in the next 4 days.

If he has a landline phone, go to a large library and ask for the city directory. Having your phone number unlisted only means it is not in the phone book or given out with 411. They are still in the city directory. You can actually find out the names of all his neighbors, who lives across the street, etc. Kind of scary really but not many know about it. |
