How do I get out of a tinted window fix-it ticket?

I'm in California. I got pulled over for speeding and the cop let me go with a warning but gave me a fix it ticket for my front window tints. They aren't even that dark but he says that any "film" window tint is illegal. Is they're any loop holes. I really don't want to scrape the tints off my windows.

This is a Q&A forum. Not a place to throw insults. There are always ways to work the system in your favor and its a legit question to ask if anyone knows of one. I purchased the car with the tints on it so I was not informed of it so keep your "Be a man" comments to yourself Carl.

I'm not sure of California Motor Code or vehicle laws, but in NY, tinted windows are after market add-ons to a vehicle. These types of tickets can't be "corrected" and then have the fine waived because you removed the tint. The best I've ever seen, is that a judge will drop the fine to $0 but you'd still have to pay the surcharge. |

You cant. If they are against the law then you have to get ride of them. Once you do that contact your local state representative to change the law. |

There is no way to get out of it, since it is illegal to keep it. However, showing it has been taken care of will most likely have the ticket dismissed. |

Be glad and thankful he didn't give you the more expensive fine. When you go to tinting places ususally they tell you what is legal and what isn't. Be a man and stop trying to get out of going through the consequenses. The police officer showed you mercy, so be a man and deal with it the right way. Oh and another thing, stop speeding or you will be in an accident or cause an accident and hurt people. When you speed it is harder to react to situations that arise. Hope this helps you.
