Why? Do you have something to hide??? If they have a court order that allows them to tap your phones, there is nothing you can do about it. Just turn yourself in. Why put your family through the grief??? |

You can't. The government would simply use some terrorist threat as a reason. If you don't want your conversations taped, send your messages snail mail. It's about the only way it will get there without being read or heard by someone other than the person it was intended for. And, the police don't normally tap people's phone for no reason. Are you SURE they're tapping the phone or is it just a thought? |

How do you know that the Police are tapping your phone. Unless you have done something that you are not supposed to do, you should have nothing to worry about. But maybe you know the whereabouts of bin-laden |

You are either paranoid or you are a threat to the state. I doubt you are either.
For the police to tap a phone they must have permission from the Home Office. Do you warrant that sort of investigation, you tell me. |

How do you know that they are tapping your phone? And if they are, that it is illegal?
Call Dial-A-Joke frequently. Argue with the recording and speak in tongues. They'll get tired of listening to you. |

In the U.S.A. it used to be very easy, just never commit a federal crime.
Now however, they can tap your phone for simply receiving a call from someone suspicious. This includes anyone with a criminal record or who is from any country our government considers a threat (like North Korea or Iran right now). |

In the UK the Police can't "illegally" tap your phone. They have to fill out all sorts of paperwork and have warrants etc to tap a phone and it is not granted unless they have strong evidence that you are doing something illegal. If you aren't then they will stop tapping soon. If you are doing something illegal then they will catch you and then they will stop.
BTW: the police normally only tap phones and look at text messages (which they can get from the phone company) for pretty serious crimes - terrorism, drug dealing, paedophilia and the like. |

if they are tapping your phone it is probably not illegally. if you are saying something wrong buy those disposable phones to use. |

WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT. HAVE YOU DONE A SERIOUS CRIME???? |

Mr. PhD

It is illegal to wiretap a phone without a warrant. If requested, they have to produce that warrant. You can petition the court to have the wiretap removed. How do you know you are being tapped? |
