I have a case in Landlord and Tenant board.
Case is as follows:
1. I was tenant at duplex house.
2. Landlord gave notice of termination. Reason - personal use.
3. I moved out.
4. Latter I spoke to tenant in another unit of that property. That tenant said that he and his friends now rent both units.
5. I applied to Landlord and Tenant board as landlord re-rented unit and did not used it for himself.
6. Landlord hired the lawyer.
7 Soon after I was sent a letter that I'm not allowed visiting property and speaking to tenants.
8. During hearing landlord just denied that unit was re-rented.
9. I don’t know legal name of the tenant to summon him as a witness and I'm not allowed to go there and speak to him.
10. Landlord said that it is not relevant as tenant rents another unit, not the one in question.
11. Can I get Board order that landlord should release legal name of their tenant/tenants and then summon him as a witness? What reasons should I provide? Is there any other way to get tenant to testify?

Get someone you know or a police officer to summons them. You would need a offical paper from the court to summons them though. It should have all the info( why they are being summons). |
