i know 911 traces the call but how do the personnel know the exact house on the street.i mean i see ambulances just pull right up to unmarked houses and its the right one,they dont even have to search.how is this done? anyone know?

GPS system everything is on computer now days. When you dial 911 your name and area appears plus cell phones have a GPS system on them now so you can be tracked when you call. Yeah I know privacy a thing of the past. |

Your phone number is assigned a specific address even if you have an unlisted number. When you call in, the dispatcher always asks for the address just to verify the database. The dispatcher sends to data to fire or police and they get the info sent to the individual police or fire unit via wireless data link. Some even have GPS. |
