How does Law Enforcement Agencies dispose of Marijuana?
I work for such an agency, and we are not allowed to burn it in a big fire pit. Know of any other ways to dispose of it fast?

It is usually burned in an incinerator with a filtered vent. I guess they don't want to give the whole town a contact high. I know that by the time it's gone through the evidence chain of custody, been used at trial and retained in the evidence room until they are relatively sure they won't need it again for evidence it has some miles on it.
Anyhow, your narcotics division usually uses some contraband to set up their "sells" so some of it can be used as a tool. Your DARES division may want some for training use in their school programs, again a good use.
Do some inter-agency work and contact your DEA, FBI, US MARSHALS, COUNTY SHERIFF, STATE POLICE or any other agency in the area and find out how they destroy their drug evidence. You may be able to coordinate one big drug destruction party or one of the other agencies may have a legitimate use for it and do a material transfer request to get it.
Other than the sarcastic smoke it or sell it or send it to me answers that you've probably gotten a hundred of, that's all I got ... be creative and make some phone calls and I'm sure you'll be able to get the stuff out of your hair. |

Our PD is burrying it at the dump. The drawback is that it has to be secured ( an officer has to be posted there for sometime to prevent ppl from diging it up ) |

they burn it but they do it at garbage incinerators, they just take it during regular business hours and throw it in with the trash. |
