Actually, there are several different routes depending on your current situation, and your short/long term goals.
Both ex military and ex police officers find that the discipline, training and experience that they have acquired coupled with formal education oftentimes gives a good foundation for getting hired into the FBI. A law degree would definitely give you an edge all things being equal.
If you're in college, focus on the specialty that you seek. If you seek the law enforcement specialty, the criminal justice classes will serve you well. If you seek technical areas, concentrate on electrical engineering, info technology, accounting or finance.
To enhance your odds, take a foreign language that is currently in demand. (consider world events) |
