Only rob one bank one time. Almost all eventually get caught because they continue. Remember the haul tends to be small.
Plan. Don't use a weapon, just a note and a threat of a weapon. Real weapons get in the way. Watch to see when the local police are changing shifts. If you are in a city pick a bank on the edge of a precinct, near the border of a county if rural. Your escape route should be not the new precinct/county. Communications are still not that good. Grocery store banks are normally the easiest. Of course check for a guard. Where a simple disguise that fits in with the weather, not a ski mask in August in Ft. Lauderdale, but cheap $1 store sunglasses and a plain baseball hat. have a coverall type change of cloths ready.
Have an escape route with a normal car and drive away like your normal driving.
It is also not a bad idea to have a thin coat of Vaseline or hand lotion on your hands and face, they dye comes off faster that way.
When I was a patrol officer we always played the game of how to rob the store/bank or whatever. One of our goals was to anticipate escape routes and what to look for. |
