You know, the first thought that came to my mind was, "are you trying to hide a body?"
I've heard that koolaid works. The fruity smell throws them off.
(I can't wait until you actually try this and find that it doesn't really work! You can write me from prison, if you like.) |

if you can collect urine from dogs and spray it over the object you are trying to hide, then it will do the trick. dogs don't like the smell of other dogs' sign, so therefore, this is the only natural way to deter dogs from sniffing your *****. the nigerians been using this method for a long time to bring in large amounts of illegal stuff. it works 100%. |

depends on how deep you bury the body. The forensics can easily scan the ground with a echo type device that covers disturbed ground to deep depths.
How many bodies you gotta hide? |

Skunk urine knocks dogs noses for a loop.
I have also heard capsicum based stuff, like cayenne pepper and such will also hide things from dogs.
No clue about cadavers though, |

Hi, as a novelist I have studied numerous methods not only committing murder but also getting rid of the body.
Firstly a sniffer dog cannot find the remains if it doesn't know where abouts to sniff.
In the old gangster movies the bodies were dropped into the foundations of high rise buildings and covered in concrete, or weighted down and dropped in a lake or river.
I have a theory, unproven of course, that a body wrapped inside one of those metallic thermal blankets that they use in the Artic, would prevent the heat, and smell from the decomposing body escaping and being detected.
In my last novel I had the victims lowered into a tree shredder
at a pig farm. All the killer had to do was hose down the machine, afterwards.
He got caught of course, but not by sniffer dogs. |

If you are writing a boook, I would suggest you approach a detective with the local homicide unit for this research. The question is leading and could result in someone getting themselves incriminated. |
