there isnt much of a physical requirement for being a correctional officer but it would be a good idea to take some self defense classes. ive had a correctional officer pretty much tell me its like babysitting but with sometimes violent criminals that you want to be friendly to. he also told some pretty gross stories of what happens to the officers atleast once in their career and what they see sometimes on a regular basis. |
