i work for the usps in mi and i woul dlike to transfer my job to orldano, headquarters said its fine but they woul dhave to pull me driving record again, the problem is i got a careless driving ticket in 2003 early 2004 and i was wondering how long do carless driving tickets stay on your record?????

I'm not sure what a "careless driving" is but I assume it's the same as reckless driving, which stays on your public driving for five years (DUI is seven years, regular tickets are three years).

What exactly were you doing to be considered "careless"? Speeding, running a red light/stop sign, etc, generally stay on your record for 39 months. Some more serious problems (i.e., drunk driving, etc) can take up to 10 years - depending on state - to come off, and some states leave them on there forever.
Unless what you were doing was completely negligent, I would guess that your ticket has since been removed. Go to the DMV & get a driving report....then you'll know for sure -- usually for about $15. |
