What length of sentence in prison do you expect ?
And will this serve as a lesson to the many other idiot brit cops that they cannot do as they wish and will be noted filmed photographed reported and most definitely testified against for ANY misconduct in public driving or otherwise ?

5yrs would be fair,but not if he gets protection in prison,the police need to learn that they cant keep on lying and bullying people ,they act so tough but they are cry babies in prison. |

I agree that he should get a prison term... the same as anyone else found guilty of death by dangerous driving.
When will the general public realise that vehicles are deadly weapons and to drive responsibly? This isnt just about cops.. its about all idiot drivers |

He had a reason to speed, one silly mistake, leading to a tragic loss of life. Prison is the wrong answer, the accident wasnt pre meditated, just a guy doing his job.
What we risk now is preventing officers from speeding in built up areas, which will mean that all of the speeding criminals without advanced driving skills will head intown instead, knowing that they wont be chased. They allready can't chase youths on motorbikes if they take their helmets off in case they fall off. Madness! |
