ALL of the street drugs shouldn't be legalized. Marijuana on the other hand should be.

if the gov. would legalize it it would have many benefits:

1.By making it legal it would create jobs at all levels and would bring in billions per year (it already does anyway)

2. Marijuana actually has medical benefits

3. By legalizing marijuana it would devote more police man-power to actually stop the hard drugs from coming in.

4. As long as we sell it lower than street price the illegal dealers wouldnt be able to profit. it's pretty much ALL profit for the government.

Pot should be legal! Texas star you are uneducated about this subject and have been programmed incorrectly by the government! If people were dying from pot it would be all over the news since it is an "Illegal" drug and would be used to stop kids from smoking it! Show me some proof! I'm not a cop, but the argument of, "Well, it comes from the earth, so it's natural and it isn't dangerous" is bunk. Deadly nightshade comes from the earth as well. I don't think it's even illegal for you to use (although it's illegal for you to poison someone else with it), but if you try to use deadly nightshade, you'll soon find out why it's deadly. Similarly, poison hemlock isn't illegal, but you'll die an un-Socratic death if you try it.

Silly stoners, rope is not made out of dope. It's made out of male hemp plants that cause your dope plants to go to seed. The last thing you want near your dope plants is male plants.

The problem with "legalizing dope" is that this isn't the same dope your daddy smoked. This stuff is hydroponically grown, chemically treated high potency stuff. The potency levels are now reaching that of heroin.

I am not a cop, but I believe if ANYTHING alcohol should be illegal and pot should be legalized. I mean pot is natural and from the earth, and its illegal? And people do these concocted drugs and drink and it kills and hurts people every day.

Plus, marijuana has many other uses than smoking it. Some of the strongest rope is made from it, my tanning lotions are made from it, and my hair products are too.

Oh and guess where most natural pot comes from (that means the stuff that isn't hyrdo)? Growers, who are payed by either dealers who are dangerous criminals or terrorists. Yes terrorists. Where do you think terrorists get money to do their killing and bombing?
Dealers are VERY dangerous criminals, and so are their networks and those below them. They will kill anyone to protect their trade.
Marijuana is never alone, you don't buy marijuana and not support the import of other drugs. No drug dealer (that deals with "natural" pot) ever only grows or sells pot.

Poison frogs are natural. Coca plant is natural (the leaves they extract cocaine crap from, these leaves can and will kill you). Poison ivy is natural. Mercury is natural, so are many acids that will kill you. Don't even give me the "that sounds like a D.A.R.E. speech" because this stuff is exactly true and you know it.
Pot kills many people, in many different ways. One way? The people that deal it kill other people just to keep them quiet about it. That's an indirect way. Friend of mine was shot by a guy who wasn't thinking and he had been smoking pot, another was almost ran over by a guy on pot and the pothead didn't remember (even though it had happened only 5 minutes earlier).. how can this be if it has no negative effects?
I don't like alcohol either BTW.
I could go on all day about THC in cannabis (also known as marijuana FYI) but I'll just let you sit with this.

I deal with pot related problems every day.... imagine how bad it would be if it was legalized.

I pray that it never happens in my lifetime.

By the Way, pot DOES kill people every day.... you just don't see that on the front page or on the news. One way or another it causes thousands of deaths every year...

EDIT- Actually, Willie HAS had a lot of problems because of his pot usage.
All of his property was sold at a tax auction because he was too 'stoned' to pay his income tax for over 5 years.
His show bus was impounded and he and his 'enterage' were arrested for possession of pot.
His career and personal life has gone to hell because of his pot usage.
About all he has left is his 'truck stop' in Carl's Corner TX... and it's not much.
